Ganesh Chaturthi

The atmosphere in the hostel was imbued with a unique blend of festivity and spirituality as the hostel witnessed the grand celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi. This revered festival, dedicated to Lord Ganesha—the Vighnaharata—was celebrated with unparalleled enthusiasm and reverence by one and all.

The day commenced with a soulful Pooja, conducted with utmost devotion and reverence. The atmosphere was filled with the sweet fragrance of incense while the students immersed themselves in the singing of Bhajans.

One of the highlights of the festivities was the magnificent procession at Sai Kulwant hall, where students showcased their creative prowess by designing and preparing various chariots (floats) to carry the idol of Lord Ganesha. Each chariot was a testament to the students' devotion and artistic talents, adorned intricately with vibrant decorations, floral arrangements, and motifs reflecting the rich cultural heritage associated with the festival.

The procession was a sight to behold, with the energetic chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya" resonating in the air. The chariots, moving gracefully into the hall, symbolized the divine journey of Lord Ganesha, evoking a sense of reverence and awe among the onlookers.

The celebrations at SSSHSB were not just a display of devotion but also a reflection of the hostel's commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural traditions and values embodied in festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi. Through their active participation and creative contributions, the students not only paid homage to Lord Ganesha but also fostered a sense of unity and spiritual enrichment within the hostel.
